This is something I LOVE. Not a lot of shows came out on VHS, it just wasn't something that seemed to be highly marketable. I had a few Star Treks on VHS, but not much. But with the advent of DVD, came TV on DVD. Whole seasons of a show in a set. I have tons of them. Before this trend, I used to record shows on tape like crazy, I had Buffy and Angel and Charmed, X-Files, and many others on VHS tapes, recorded from TV that I'd cut the commercials on. Then suddenly along came TV on DVD and I could just buy them all, and on DVD which holds up better than VHS. It's a great thing for the TV addicted, like me.
Currently in my DVD player is Season 2 of Two and a Half Men. It's funny because I didn't watch the show until recently. I only got hooked on it in the last few months in syndication. It's really pretty funny. The brother, Alan and his ex can be a little annoying. But aside from them, everyone else is pretty hilarious. The kid, Jake is so stupid, yet sometimes something oddly smart and witty comes out, and half the fun is how dumb he is. And Charlie and Alan's mother is just hilariously 'cruel'. I loved the episode where Charlie starts dating a woman who is basically a younger version of their mom.
